Gymworld Ltd have been in business since 1984. We started in a little shop on Yorkshire Street in Oldham, Lancashire selling weights, weight benches and protein powders. The Gymworld business soon built up and expanded into home fitness equipment and we were one of the first companies in the UK to import and sell top quality treadmills. This was the core of the business until the mid-nineties when the decision was made to expand further into the home fitness equipment market selling exercise bikes, multi gyms and other home fitness equipment from top brands like York Fitness and many more.

Gymworld were also one of the first home fitness equipment retailers to offer a product installation service using trained, experienced staff. But it didn’t stop there. Gymworld were one of the first (if not the first) home fitness equipment retailers in the UK to be selling Elliptical Cross Trainers for use in home fitness, as well as in gyms. Cross Trainers were a real breakthrough in the home fitness equipment market and have become one of the most popular types of fitness equipment we sell due to their ease of use and excellent fitness results.
