The Concept2 Model D Rowing Machine is an institutional-grade rowing exercise machine with air-resistance flywheel, sliding seat, and self-calibrating electronic performance monitor.

 

Comes with either the PM3 Performance Monitor or the PM4 Performance Monitor. A LogCard is included with both. In addition, the PM4 monitor includes a Suunto brand chest belt for heart rate monitoring.

 

The model D has an ergonomically designed handle for comfort, and the all new PM3 monitor gives a huge amount of feedback which can be stored in the on board memory. It is also quieter than its predecessor which is a great advantage in a home setting.

 

Model D features:

 

- PM3 Performance Monitor is standard on all Model D Indoor Rowers with the option to upgrade to a PM4 Performance Monitor (view the PM3/PM4 comparison page for more information).

- Adjustable monitor arm allows for more compact storage.

- Aluminum rail capped with a stainless-steel track allows the seat to move smoothly and facilitates full leg involvement in the rowing stroke to provide a true, full-body workout.

- Ergonomic handle allows for a natural arm and hand position while rowing.

- Fan engineered to minimize noise while providing the smooth feel of rowing on the water.

- Flexfoot footrests adjust for quick and easy sizing.

- Spiral damper controls airflow to the flywheel allowing users to choose the feel of a sleek, fast boat or a slow, heavy boat.

- Separates easily for storage.

- Redesigned framelock mechanism makes it easy to separate into two pieces for transport and storage.

- Caster wheels make it mobile.

  • Space Requirements: The Concept2 Indoor Rower measures 240cm (7'11") long by 60cm (24") maximum width. An area of 275cm by 120cm (9' by 4') is required for operation of the machine. Monitor is powered by 2 D batteries which are included. No external power source is needed. Storage requirement for two upright pieces is 72cm x 90cm x 135cm high (28" x 35" x 4').
  • Machine Weight: The Indoor Rower weighs 28 kilos (61 lbs). It has a detachable monorail. The monorail half of the machine weighs approx. 8 kilos (18 lbs). The front half weighs approx. 19.5 kilos (43 lbs) and has caster wheels to move it around.
  • User Weight Limitations: We recommend a maximum user weight of 500 pounds (approx 225 kilos, 35 stone) for the Indoor Rower.
  • Spare Parts and Service: Spare parts are available direct from us. Machines are user serviceable. Initial assembly takes approximately 30 minutes and subsequent installation of the most common spare parts is not difficult. Technical assistance is available during regular business hours (Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.) on 0115 945 5522.
  • Warranty: All Concept 2 products come with a parts only warranty. Notify us, within the warranty period, of any defect occurring and we'll supply you with a replacement part free of charge on our receipt of the defective part.
  • Construction
  • Frame: Extruded aluminum I-beam monorail with stainless steel seat track.
  • Flywheel: Fully enclosed chain driven flywheel is steel with glass reinforced ABS squirrel cage fan attached. The flywheel enclosure is made of hi-impact, ABS Thermo-plastic. 'Quiet Cog' system significantly softens the sound of rowing by damping the chain noise with a urethane washers on each side of the cog. The idler pulleys and travelling pulley are made of a Thermo-plastic elastomer for increased durability and noise reduction.
  • PM3 Monitor: Battery powered LCD digital display features time/distance rowed; calories burned; power produced (watts); stroke rate; stroke output (watts, calories, metres); average pace (time per 500 meters); library of preset workouts (timed, distance, timed interval, distance interval); projected finish (time or distance); split memory recall function; optional heart rate monitor interface. hoose from a variety of units and graphic display options including Force Curve, Paceboat and Bar Chart. C2 LogCard easily and automatically record workouts and track progress without separate paper record of each workout. PC-interface - transfer LogCard data to your personal computer. Power generation feature extends the life of the batteries by providing operating power to the PM3 while rowing.
  • Miscellaneous: Adjustable air resistance; Flexfoot(TM) adjustable footboard system; impact-resistant, glass-reinforced Nylon, ergonomically-designed handle with overmolded soft rubber grips; molded rubber foot pads; anatomically designed seat top; built in caster wheels; quick disconnect feature for compact storage.

Installation

General information regarding Installation Service


 Whilst many models of fitness equipment are designed for self-assembly we learned over twenty years ago that many of our customers preferred to have this service available to them.


 Choosing to have your piece of fitness equipment installed for you means we will build the machine in the room of your choice, ready for you to use. If you wish, we will also remove for disposal all packaging which came with the equipment, potentially saving you a trip to the tip.


 We have recently launched our Gymworld EarlyBird Installation Service which has many benefits for those of you who are early risers and do not wish to take time off work.


 Similarly, we now offer the option of an Evening Installation and our new Weekend Installation Service.


 On the day of installation, please be mindful to have clear and safe access within your property for our installation personnel, just as you would with any other piece of household equipment or furnishing being delivered.


 Also, please note that our installation service is restricted to mainland GB and is not currently available to the Highlands of Scotland, and that we reserve the right to withdraw the service in the interests of health and safety or commercial viability if delivery and/or installation is affected by such things as adverse weather, unsafe or difficult access either within the property or en route there.

 

If Installation is selected and your Item is ordered on a finance scheme, installation will be by arrangement after the required cooling off period.
