How we started - 25 Years in Business

Here at Gymworld we've been selling Gym Equipment and Fitness Equipment for 25 years now. We started out selling Weight Training Equipment like Dumbells, Weight Kits and Protein Powder. We then moved on to Gym Equipment like Multi-Gyms, Olympic Benches and more.

In the mid-nineties we started selling Cardio Machines such as Treadmills and Exercise Bikes. Gymworld were the first to import higher-end, luxury American Treadmills like Landice, True, Pacemaster and Keys Fitness. These treadmills proved so popular that we expanded into other lines of Gym and Exercise Equipment to cater for all types of budgets.

When Elliptical Cross Trainers were introduced to the Gym and Home Exercise market in circa. 2003, we were at first skeptical but were soon won over by top models by Kettler and Life Fitness. We all enjoy using the Exercise Equipment we have here at Gymworld and we'll always give you an honest opinion about what you are looking to buy (as we've used most of the Exercise and Cardio Equipment ourselves).

As Gymworld have been in the Weight Training and Exercise business for so long we've built up a good knowledge of what makes a piece of Gym or Exercise Equipment a winner. We've also experienced a few duds in that time so we know what we're looking for when we buy in our Gym and Exercise Equipment.

When you call or email Gymworld about Gym and Exercise Equipment, we'll always give you the best advice possible. For example, if you're a beginner to Fitness and Exercise and you want an Elliptical Cross Trainer, you may not want an all-singing, all-dancing Elliptical Cross Trainer. You might want a more basic Elliptical Cross Trainer that costs less money but still trims your legs and bum, which let's face it, is what most people want from a Cross Trainer. On the other hand, you may be looking for a top grade Rowing Machine and (budget permitting) we'd recommend machines like the Waterrower Rowing Mahcines or the Concept 2 Rowing Machines.

If you're buying Weights or Weight Training Equipment then we at Gymworld will always ask how much you train before you buy. There's no point buying a huge, heavy Weight Kit if you're a beginner. You can always buy a smaller Weight Kit and add to it later. We'd always recommend you buy the best Weight Bench you can afford. A good solid Weight Bench is reassuring and can help to motivate you to train more regularly.

A little known fact about Gymworld is that we were the first Gym and Exercise Equipment retailer to offer a Home Delivery Service. Gymworld were then the first to offer a Home Installation Service.
