Table Tennis was invented in the late 1800's to entertain the Victorians and was known as Ping Pong which was played with everyday objects like cigar box lids and champagne corks. The game eventually evolved into Table Tennis and was given a more official status by the foundation of the ITTF in 1922.
Table Tennis has evolved many times since its humble beginnings to be the fast paced, exciting game that you see today.
