When you buy fitness or weights equipment from Gymworld, it will be covered by a manufacturers warranty. The warranties on your products are provided by the manufacturers and any relevant repairs will be provided by the manufacturer in question. The manufacturers of your product know their equipment very well and will generally be able to quickly respond to any service issues you may have. Please see the contact details chart at the bottom of this list for contact details.
In the event of a product breakdown, please refer to the warranty under which you purchased your equipment. They are normally in any of the following formats:
- Parts Only (with warranty length)
- Parts and Labour (with warranty length)
- Lifetime
With a Parts Only warranty, the parts will be delivered to your address. The manufacturer will generally need some proof of purchase to send out your parts, whether it's a confirmation of order email from Gymworld (which you receive with any online order) or a faxed copy of a paper invoice. If you do not have a proof of purchase then you can still obtain one. Please ask the manufacturer how they would like you to proceed in this case. They may request a proof of purchase from us which we can send to them on your behalf.
With a Parts and Labour warranty, the manufacturer is offering an “on-site” warranty (they come to you to fix your equipment) so you needn't worry about sending a 100kg treadmill back to base. Most manufacturers will be able to service your equipment within 14 days of contact. Please remember that each manufacturer will only have a limited amount of service engineers who will be in certain areas on certain days.
When you see a lifetime warranty, what the manufacturer is saying is that they think the part will not fail during a reasonable working lifetime, usually about 20 years if not longer. When manufacturers add the “Lifetime” part to a warranty, it means they have a lot of faith in their parts which generally means a good, reliable machine. It also means that should the worst happen, you'll still be covered years down the line for the parts that have the “Lifetime” warranty.
